Bonjour, Monday! Team Moveable Feast spent the past weekend making difficult decisions like whether or not Petanque and Pastis deserve their own afternoon (spoiler alert: of course they do). We escaped to a cabin on a small lake in Michigan to plot like little wicked masterminds of your travel experience. Things like which local vineyard we’re going to get our barrel of wine from? to who’s in charge of covering why Cezanne was so darn obsessed with Monte Saint-Victoire? to how are we going to schedule pool-lounging and French lessons and 12th century town wandering all in the same afternoon? Most importantly, we dreamt up all the ways we want to take REALLY REALLY good care of the Feasters who will be joining us en Provence. Because this isn’t a normal travel experience, this is us bringing good people together and creating a mini-community out of them.
Getting two of our favorite people together who share a dream for crafting a memorable experience is the definition of #joblove. We jumped into a seemingly still-frozen Lake Michigan, sipped morning coffee in the woods, built bonfires, roasted all the veggies, howled at the moon, picked wild flowers, and sat on the dock coming up with how to make our (and your) wildest dreams of days in France come true.
So meet Sarah, your friendly neighborhood retreat designer, the epitome of style sans pretension. Tyson, musician to the max. Laura, your resident shutterbug and HBIC. And hi. I’m Tim, your poolboy philosopher, always ready with the champagne.
After this weekend, we’re more excited than Parisians during Soldes to make Moveable Feast: Provence an unforgettable trip. As of the moment we publish this post, there are just two rooms left in the castle overlooking the rolling hills of the Luberon.
